Stake Fast & Prayer for Missionary Work: Mon, Aug 3 - Sat, Sep 5. At some point this week, health permitting, we are invited to join in fasting and prayer that the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon us and upon those we love — softening hearts, opening doors, and giving us courage as instruments in His hands to love, share, and invite. We specifically ask the Lord for the courage to open our mouths and share the gospel with our family, friends, and neighbors - that they may come to church, meet with the missionaries, and learn of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. If you would like to choose a date to fast and pray during this time, see the sign up link. Additionally, we would like to challenge each ward and branch to hand out 125 pass along cards during the stake fast. We would love to hear about your missionary experiences; if you have one to share, please email Brother Eric Barnes at ebarnes1827@gmail.com. There will be a wrap up missionary work fireside at the stake center on Sun, Sept 6 at 7 PM.
Stake Softball Tournament: Sat, Aug 8 from 9 am to 12 pm at Rotary Park - 2260 Dayton Xenia Rd in Beavercreek, Diamonds 1 & 2 in the NW quadrant of the ball fields. Join the stake in playing a few games of friendly softball. Ages 14 and up may play (co-ed), and families and friends are all welcome to watch and support the players. Donuts will be provided. Please bring a ball glove and a bat if you have one. The stake has plenty of softballs. See map here.
