Calendar Events

• Tickets for General Conference: The Stake has received an allotment of tickets to the upcoming General Conference in Salt Lake City. If you will be in Salt Lake on the first weekend in October and would like to go, please reach out to Pres. Skouson (markskouson@gmail.com) to see if there are any still available. 

• Friend to Friend: Watch Sep 4 or later. Primary children, teachers, and leaders are invited to view this event featuring Elder Patrick Kearon. Available for download at the church website and church apps.

• Springboro Ward Fall Western Party!: Sat, Sep 6 at 6 pm at our church building in Middletown. Western theme so wear your cowboy boots and hats. Chili cookoff, live band - Hip Shakin' Daddys. Invite your friends and neighbors!

• YSA Regional Conference: Sep  19-21. NANE YSA Conference in DC. if you have not yet registered, see link here. Elder Haynie and an Apostle will attend. Funding for housing and food will be provided. 

• Stake Relief Society Fireside: Patriarchal Blessings: Sun , Sep 28 from 7-8:30 pm at the Beavercreek church building. All Relief Society sisters and Young Women age 14 and up are invited to attend. Hear from Patriarch Scott and Sister Gayle Scott about Patriarchal Blessings. Bring a small plate of cookies or cookie bars to share. See flyer here.

• General Conference: Sat, Oct 4 (12, 4, and 8 pm) and Sun, Oct 5 (12 and 4 pm) with broadcasts available on the church website and Gospel Stream app. All are welcome to listen. Hear the word of God through messages from the prophet, apostles, and church leaders. 

• Tri-Stake Field Day & Dance: Sat, Oct 18 for youth 14+. Details to follow.

• Primary Fall Carnival: Sat, Oct 25 from 6 to 8 pm at our Middletown church building. Details will be added soon.

• BYU-Idaho Education Fireside: Thurs, Nov 13, 7 pm, at the Dayton Ohio Stake Center (901 E Whipp Rd, Dayton). This education fireside is for youth ages 14-18, their parents, youth leaders, and young single adults. Meet a representative from BYU-Idaho, view a 60-minute presentation to learn tips to prepare for college and opportunities available at BYU-Idaho.

• Women's Conference: Save the date for Sat, April 18, 2026. "Gathered As One In Christ” area wide women’s conference. Location TBD. Watch for registration information in September.

Useful Information

• Ward Meeting Time for 2025: Sacrament meeting begins at 9am, and 2nd hour meetings follow. Please note that this occasionally changes. When meeting times or locations occasionally vary due to a special holiday or meeting, the details will be found near the top of the bulletin under the Sunday schedule heading.

• Interested in Participating in an Easter Presentation?: Columbus Ohio Stake will host a performance of "Lamb of God" for Easter 2026. If you, your family, friends, or neighbors are interested in participating in some capacity (in the choir, as a soloist, as a member of the orchestra, technology, etc.) sign up using this link. Our goal is to come together as a community and share our love and testimonies of the Savior. If you have any questions concerning our 2026 production of "Lamb of God", please reach out to Holly Eldredge at hollyeldredge01@gmail.com.  

• Church magazines can be read digitally (you can sign up for email notifications when new issues are available), and you can sign up for a print subscription for free. The Liahona is written for adults. Youth and children have their own magazines, too: For the Strength of Youth and The Friend. For each option, digital and print, go to MagazineSubscriptions.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and sign in with a Church account. Suscribe or select email for online magazines.

• www.JustServe.org Find service projects anywhere in the U.S. Search for your town or zip code and choose distance (5-70 miles). This website, by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is for everyone, young and old, neighbors and community! Service opportunities are posted into the website by anyone who can sign in. The stake coordinator will approve it. Create a username and password to track hours, projects, add favorites, and post local opportunities. Contact Gayle Scott for more info: gayle@scott123.com. 

• Church Service Opportunities: Looking for a way to serve others? This is a list of service opportunities that is updated by a member in our stake. It is updated regularly. Church Service and Service Mission Opportunities 

• Family Search Center: The Family Search Center in Fairborn is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 8 pm, Fridays from 10 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Please call 937-878-9551 before coming to make sure they are staffed by volunteers. The address is 3060 Terry Dr, Fairborn, OH. • Columbus Temple: At the rededication of the temple, President Ballard encouraged us to view temple attendance with urgency. Temples are a blessing to us, and we are encouraged to attend regularly or prepare so that we can attend. Schedule temple appointments online at the church website churchofjesuschrist.org/temples OR email or call the Columbus temple.

• Family Promise Training: Family Promise holds a training session, usually on the first Saturday of each month, for those interested in helping provide dinner, fellowship, and activities for the children and youth on Thursday and Friday of one week a quarter.
